A cantilever beam
has a rectangular cross section. Its left end is fixed to a rigid wall, and its
right end is subjected to a vertical force P. The beam is made of plain carbon
steel with Young's modulus of 30.5 Mpsi, and Poisson's ratio of 0.28. The
problem is solved numerically using FEM with SolidWorks Simulation, The results
can be found from here.
